The
Coast of Angra and the region of Ilha Grande, the "Big Island"

city of Angra dos Reis is located 155 Km from Rio de Janeiro
and 395 Km from Sao Paulo. The main access is through the BR-101
(Rio-Santos) which is, by the way, a wonderful drive along the
coastline. You can also choose the Via Dutra Express Highway,
until Barra Mansa, taking than the RJ-155. After 80 Km, passing
by Rio Claro and Lidice, you join Rio-Santos highway.

You
are almost there. To reach the Pousada do Alemão,
take the second entry if you are coming from São Paulo
and the first entry if you are coming from Rio, towards Angra
Center. Take the first left, up to the Estrada dos Marinas.
On the way you will pass by the Shopping Mall (Piratas Mall),
which is an easy indication. Signs show you the way. The Pousada
do Alemão is on the Estrada dos Marinas no 991.
